Leadership has always been about managing a team, making sound decisions, and inspiring and influencing people. However, in this technological-driven business world, the parameters of leadership have changed slightly. Nowadays, being a successful leader also includes understanding and leveraging technology along with leading people. An avid leader, Josh Lawler, Management Committee Partner at Zuber Lawler is a better instance to this.
In an interview with Insights Success, Josh Lawler shares insights on his entrepreneurial journey and how he brings enthusiasm and excitement to cutting edge projects.
Below are the highlights of an interview:
How do you diversify your organization’s solutions so as to make an impact in the lives of people?
Zuber Lawler is a minority owned enterprise and proud of its tradition of inclusiveness.
Describe some of the vital attributes that leaders should possess.
Vision, initiative, confidence and flexibility. Recognition that an organization is no stronger than the people who compose it.
What are the experiences and lessons that you’ve learned across your journey?
Trust, but verify; believe in karma; good help is hard to find, treat your stars like stars; cash flow is king. Meditate.
According to you, how does Blockchain technology play an important role in businesses?
With proper internal governance, it is the great intermediator. It can eliminate the need for any escrow or broker function; it is also a path to self-sovereign identity (which is either exciting or terrifying depending on your perspective).
Where does Zuber Lawler see itself in the near future and how does it plan to sustain its competency?
We expect to continue our growth by adding extremely talented and experienced attorneys. We will continue our current practices and grow certain practice areas based upon business trends. We will continue to grow our international influence through strategic relationships with professionals in other countries.
What advice would you like to give to the young minds?
See where you want to be in ten years and work accordingly to get there. There is no substitute for hard work. Expect to work a great deal early in your career. It is the only way to really learn what you are doing. Learn to appreciate that a person’s actions are often driven more by their situation than their inherent qualities.
