Born into an Army family, she experienced a unique childhood characterized by constant relocation, attending twelve different schools across India. This diverse upbringing instilled in her a strong adaptability and a broad perspective on life. She completed her schooling at Army Public School Noida before pursuing her undergraduate degree in Economics (Honours) at Jesus and Mary College, Delhi University.

After her formal education, Khushboo began her professional journey in 2007 when she joined Google’s newly established office in Gurgaon as part of campus recruitment. This opportunity marked the beginning of her career in the digital realm, where her passion for technology and media flourished. During her two years at Google, she honed her skills in digital marketing, gaining invaluable insights into the power of digital platforms.

Driven by a desire to deepen her knowledge, she pursued an MBA in Marketing from the SP Jain School of Global Management, which took her to Singapore and Dubai between 2009 and 2010. Following her MBA, she took on the role of Marketing Manager for Nokia in Dubai, overseeing operations for the Middle East and Africa. Her responsibilities included managing the marketing strategies for Nokia’s Symbian and Lumia devices. Her keen interest in services and entertainment led her to a global position where she directed marketing efforts for Nokia Music, Reading, and TV from London.

In 2013, her aspirations took a significant turn when Apple approached her for the role of Regional Marketing Head for iTunes and Apple Services in Emerging Markets based in Dubai. This was a dream come true for her, who had long admired Steve Jobs’ vision and leadership. At Apple, she was part of the founding team that launched the Apple Services business across India, the Middle East, Turkey, Russia, and Africa. Her role involved extensive collaboration with various teams to curate content and build relationships with developers and rights holders.

In 2016, after three years at Apple, she relocated to India to establish the Apple Services Business Unit. She successfully built a local team to enhance service delivery in India while managing content licensing and marketing efforts. After solidifying Apple’s presence in India, she returned to Dubai in mid-2019 to focus on regional business development for Apple Services across emerging markets.

In June 2021, another exciting opportunity arose when she was invited to return to India to lead Reliance Jio’s Entertainment Services division. Recognizing Jio’s transformative impact on content consumption in India, she embraced this new challenge with enthusiasm. At Jio, she focuses on building a sustainable profit-and-loss structure for entertainment services while leveraging Jio’s robust ecosystem to cater to both consumers and businesses.

At Jio, she leads Jio Entertainment Services, which she is also the founding member and CEO of, which encompasses all the entertainment offerings of Jio Platforms Ltd. Including but not limited to JioTV, JioTV+, JioSaavn and enterprise apps. After the brand revamp of JioSaavn, she quickly moved to the OTT aggregator platform JioTV and JioTV+ where she launched JioTV Specials, branded partnerships with key clients like Dubai Tourism, Coke Studio, Rolling Stone, Red Bull and IPs like ‘No Filter Neha’ – celebrity video chat show with Neha Dhupia.

Throughout her career journey, Khushboo has faced numerous challenges but has consistently emerged stronger.
