Chetan, please brief us about your journey in the industry and your contributions towards Analytix Solutions’ success.

I am a Mechanical Engineer by qualification. I started my journey at Analytix in the AV industry around 14 years ago as a Jr. Design Engineer. I learned a lot of new things during my initial years and continue to educate myself on industry trends today.

After training and growing a team, Analytix created an AV division and was one of the first companies in India to provide these types of services however, with the division expanding there were some challenges I faced.

One of the biggest challenges was finding the right talent. To combat this, our team goes through a training program that we designed specifically to onboard and train engineers efficiently.

We provide engineering services to the audio-visual industry. We translate customer requirements into a proposal comprised of the scope of work, schematic design, bill of materials, and any other information needed. By supplementing AV engineering staff, we increase productivity and ensure that our clients can offer a quick turnaround on proposals and project plans.

AV CAD Services

We work on architectural drawings and AV flow diagrams to make valuable engineering resources available for higher level, higher revenue-generating activities. As a standalone service or as the next step after engineering design services, we convert raw documents to architectural drawings and AV flow diagrams.

AV BIM Services

Analytix provides Building Information Modelling (BIM) services and utilizes Autodesk Revit software. We work with industry-leading AV integrators, AV consultants, and AV manufacturers. Our team of expert Revit engineers can create Revit families, draft 2D views, populate the Architectural BIM model with AV Equipment, and more.

Electronic Security System CAD Services

Analytix offers Electronic Security Systems (ESS) CAD services for accuracy and speed. Being an experienced leader, share your opinion on how the adoption of modern technologies like AI and ML can impact the industry and how is Analytix Solutions riding the technology wave?

AI is going to change the AV industry in many ways, which will benefit the end-users. It will improve the quality of life of the people. Regarding meetings, classrooms, and entertainment systems, AI is going to create a more efficient and optimized experience for the end-users. Being an AV service provider, we always stay up to date with advances in technology and the changes in the industry to ensure we are offering the best services in the industry.

Considering the current pandemic, what initial challenges did you face, and how did you drive Analytix Solutions to sustain operations while ensuring the safety of your employees at the same time?

The initial days of the pandemic were a completely different experience. The ‘work from home’ model created many challenges, and many businesses were not ready for it. Our team provided services around the clock to support clients; many of whom did not know how to use online tools.

We moved our entire organization to cloud platforms so everyone could work from home and stay safe, while also helping our clients to do the same. Analytix did not lay off a single employee during the pandemic, and in fact, has added 100 people since the beginning of this year and still has 100 more openings.

We focused on the security, engagement, value creation, and adaptability (SEVA) model to keep the morale high and then formed a COVID help-desk to extend necessary support to employees in finding hospital beds, blood, medical support, etc. We now allow a hybrid model where employees have the flexibility to work from home.

What would be your advice to budding entrepreneurs who aspire to venture into the AV industry?

With the development of automation in every industry, we expect AV solutions to take a prominent role. We observe that AV tools and services are part of significant developments. If you are an entrepreneur, involving your company in the AV industry would be a smart move. Your ideas can shape the new market and attract new customers to utilize AV services around them. One thing I believe in is building a solid and diverse team.

Diverse individuals with unique educational, professional, and personal backgrounds can generate ideas to provide unique AV solutions. Having a wide variety of perspectives and opinions can be invaluable in the tech sector, where only the businesses that continually innovate can stay relevant.

How do you envision scaling Analytix Solutions’ operations and offerings in 2022 and beyond?

We are already forecasting a good amount of business in the new year. In addition, we recently added ten new partner clients in the US. Our resilience over the past few months and hard work ethic has proven to be successful and we have seen significant growth. We look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead for our team in 2022 as we continue to grow.

At our headquarter in India, we are moving our offices to a 70,000 square foot space. This space will be big enough to accommodate up to 1,000 employees. By the end of 2021, we expect to hire 100 more employees and have 50 new positions that are currently open. We are also very excited to announce the hire of our new COO, John Mathew, who will be helping to prepare us for the expected growth of 2022.

Analytix has helped by reducing the drawing burden from our design/engineering team, allowing them to turn proposals around to our customers more quickly.

The drawings are professional and easy to read and also offer the ability for us to establish customized standards for the drawing packages we deliver. The project portal is very user friendly and easy to navigate so it doesn’t require a lot of employee training to learn how to navigate within the project software.
