What’s the Best Way to Make Money Writing Articles Online?

The simple answer is the way you know how to! But that doesn’t really help you that much now, does it? Well, don’t worry, I’ll get into all the nitty-gritty details soon enough on how you can get the most out of your writing.
For most people (especially young people), it would be the dream to do a job with flexible hours that require no prior experience or training, that can be done right from the very comfort of your home.
This is what is so appealing about article writing. You can choose your hours (Within reason of course! Your boss might be unhappy if you cram everything before a deadline) which is something rather important if you are in school and can’t work most of the day.
It’s like how when you play on an online casino, you can play whenever you want. Suppose you want to play in the morning, great! If you want to play in the evening, no problem! Do you want to play a quick hand with your midnight snack? More power to you!
Here, you can write articles whenever you like. Morning, afternoon, evening, 3 AM, you name it. The freedom and flexibility really are a great bonus. Plus, it is a nice boost to your income that you could even do alongside another job if you wanted.
However, sometimes it can be more difficult than you may have thought it would be. For instance, what do you do when you aren’t sure what to write? What if you don’t know about the topic you are supposed to write about?
What if you have been thinking and thinking, and you really can’t get yourself to write something? What are some ways you can feel more motivated to write? Or perhaps you are having trouble with putting in keywords. It can be tricky sometimes to make the article flow well while at the same time putting in a keyword that has nothing to do with the topic you are writing about.
What to write
First of all, I am going to try and help you figure out what you should write about. For this, I am going to go back to what I originally said at the beginning of the article. It would help if you wrote about what you know how to write about.
What are the things you are interested in? Do you know many facts about sneakers? Maybe you like cars a lot and happen to know the history of some car companies. Or, perhaps you are more of a history buff.
All of these things could be made into articles if you are a bit creative with it. All you need to do is think about how the things you know about can be made into articles for the topic you have to write about, not how the topic you have to write about can be made into an article.
I’ll give you an example that may help you to better understand what exactly it is that I mean here. It probably is a little confusing at the moment.
Take, for example, if you had to write for a website or client that wanted an article about running. Maybe they are a running app, sell running gear, or just a running enthusiast’s blog and love everything about running.
Now, that is all well and good. Running is good for you, and it’s great if people really enjoy it as a hobby. However, let us say for argument’s sake that you are more of a “Not running kind of person.” This is somewhat problematic now, isn’t it? You don’t know anything about running, yet you need to write an article about running.
Now, your first thought may be to start doing some research about running. Maybe you’ll watch some videos about running online or read someone else’s articles on running to see if you can find some inspiration.
However, this is not the best way to go about it. All of that time you are taking to research a topic is time you could have spent writing if you wrote about something you already happen to know about. This is going to be heavily dependent on each individual, but let us say that you don’t know anything about running, but you like sneakers. You’ve researched some stuff about sneakers already in the past for personal reasons unrelated to work.
Now, you already know about sneakers, but you don’t know about running. Yet, at the same time, sneakers are related to running now, aren’t they? You happen to need a nice pair of sneakers if you plan to run often. So, here is what you do. You write an article about running but write the most about what you already know about. In this case, it would be sneakers and information about sneakers in relation to running.
So, let’s say you are writing a list about three things you shouldn’t go cheap on for running. You could talk about something simple for 2 of them, such as water bottles and hats (don’t want to get sunburned!) but then write the bulk of your article about sneakers. Now, you have an article about running, but it is actually about sneakers, which, of course, is the topic that you already knew information about. This saves you time, effort, and frustration.
You want your writing to feel like it is coming from you, not like you are writing for a school research paper. So, whenever you can, write about things you already know because you are interested in them. This will not only help you write articles faster, but it will also help you write things that you will enjoy writing about. If you enjoy your writing, you are likely to write more and better.
Motivation
Some great tips to help keep you motivated when you write are listening to music, writing about topics you are interested in or writing about topics that you already know a lot about.
Listening to music is a great motivator, in my opinion, because it allows you to enjoy the time you spend writing. Instead of just blankly staring at a screen and pressing buttons on a keyboard, you can get into a rhythm with the music.
Writing about topics that interest you is important as if you are interested, invested, and care about what you are writing about, you will enjoy writing about it more. In addition, it will most likely also increase the quality of your writing.
Finally, it can help to write on topics you already know about because then the task of writing doesn’t seem that daunting. Instead of staring at a blank screen and freaking out about what to write, you will already have a bit of an idea of the direction you want to go in.
If all else fails, you can always think of your paycheck. Writing articles isn’t too difficult, so maybe you will find motivation in the idea of making a few extra easy bucks on the side.
Keywords
New writers can find it tricky to write for a client or company to fit keywords into their articles. This can be made even more difficult if the keywords don’t really have much to do with the topic at hand.
The first thing you should do is see if the keyword can just naturally fit into your article. Maybe you are listing things at some point that the word can fit into, or you need an example of something that you can use your keyword for.
If you are really having trouble with it, you can always use your keyword as a metaphor or a parable for something you are trying to explain. I’ll give a quick example to maybe help you out.
Let us say your keyword is ‘Amazing Juicer,’ but you are writing that article for the website about running. How are you supposed to fit a kitchen gadget in with an article about running?
Well, you could use it as a metaphor for something you are writing about. Let’s say you are on your section about shoes; you could write something along the lines of this:
“Running with the proper sneakers makes your workout feel as easy as juicing an orange with an amazing juicer!” It may not be the smoothest way to fit in a keyword, but it works and is simple enough for most people.
In addition, it can be used in a large variety of scenarios for a large variety of articles. You don’t have to worry so much about what you have to write about if you use this method. It can really make fitting those words in a bit easier.
