Please brief us about the featured person’s (s) journey in the industry and how they have contributed to the company’s success.
I have been working at Vidroporto since 2004, exactly the moment the shareholders decided on the board of Directors restructuring.
Since then, the company has been passing through a transformation in all areas like Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Production Technology, etc. Market share has increased 1500%, profit generation is very positive, and consequently, the value of the company followed the growth direction.
Being an experienced leader, share your opinion on how the adoption of modern technologies has impacted the manufacturing industry and how your company is riding the technology wave.
Modern technologies may be faced as a monster or as better tools to help the company to survive in a new environment and achieve the best results ever. It depends on the point of view. The high technology in general, simplifies systems, improves the product and service qualities, reduces the cost, increases productivity and profit, and presents many other advantages.
In many situations, entering a new world, new system, machine, etc., may cause fear. However, there is no other way of reaching a good result and being competitive without modern technologies.
What would be your advice to budding entrepreneurs who aspire to venture into the manufacturing space?
I believe that to be an entrepreneur; the person needs to develop some key features like not being afraid of what is coming nor the challenges that have to be faced, thinking and looking in a different way from the other people, and trying to do the best, always. In a nutshell, “think out of the box.”
How do you envision scaling your organization’s operations and offerings in 2022 and beyond?
We need to keep the focus on our business and look at all opportunities we have in our hands.
Take the opportunity to improve the process, reduce waste, stay closer to the clients, suppliers, banks, and employees, and always work together for new solutions.
