This is How Instagram’s in-app Food Delivery is Supporting Local Business

Video and photo-sharing app, Instagram has launched a new feature that allows Instagram users to order food to be placed through the app. This Facebook-owned app has added this feature in an effort to support local food businesses during the lockdown. To achieve the aforesaid goal, Instagram will add a new action button to the business or restaurant’s profile or introduce a food order sticker to its stories.
This way an Instagram user can tap on the button and place the order through the food business website or the restaurant’s website. This feature was first introduced in Canada and the US to help struggling food outlets during this pandemic outbreak. However, the app has now expanded its feature to the UK. One of its board members commented, “For every business any kind of sale helps and so we will continue to work on features that supports small businesses.”
