Sanderson Farms to be sold for $4.5 Billion to a Joint Venture

Sanderson Farms is 3rd largest poultry producer company in the U.S.
Sanderson Farm will be acquired by a joint venture, Continental Grain Company, and Cargill. It is ready to pay $203 per share in cash as the company processed more than 4.8 billion pounds of meat last year.
The organizations intend to join Sanderson Farms with Wayne Farms, a Continental Grain subsidiary, to shape another, privately held poultry business. Tasks will incorporate poultry handling plants and arranged food varieties plants across North Carolina, Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, and Mississippi.
Wayne Farms has more than 9,000 representatives. It makes items under brand names including Wayne Farms’ new and arranged chicken; Platinum Harvest premium fresh chicken; Chef’s Craft gourmet chicken; Naked Truth premium chicken and Ladybirdy premium chicken.
Laurel, Mississippi-based Sanderson Farms has 17,000 representatives and 12 plants. It measures 13.6 million chickens each week.
