Next AI system from DeepMind will surpass ChatGPT from OpenAI

Demis Hassabis, the CEO of DeepMind, has stated that the Google-owned AI company is developing a new AI system called “Gemini” that will be more powerful than the one that powers OpenAI’s ChatGPT.

According to Hassabis, the developers are utilising strategies from the AI system AlphaGo, which became the first to defeat a world-class human Go player, to create Gemini, according to Wired. Haoliang Xu of China will succeed Usha Rao-Monari of India in her role as associate administrator of the UN Development Programme, which holds the rank of Under Secretary General, according to Haq.

As per Haq, the UN space office, which has its headquarters in Vienna, “works to promote international cooperation in the peaceful use and exploration of space, as well as in the utilisation of space science and technology for sustainable economic and social development.”

British-born Holla-Maini served as the Global Satellite Operators Association’s Secretary-General, Executive Vice President of NorthStar Earth and Space, and the founder and CEO of Orbitz Consulting. She sits on the Indian Satellite Industry Association’s advisory board.

Before being appointed to the UN position in 2021, Rao-Monari, a specialist in infrastructure investment, held the positions of CEO and senior advisor at Global Water Development Partners, a Blackstone firm.

She also served as a director for the International Finance Corporation’s Sustainable Business Advisory Group.

A division of Google, DeepMind is a British artificial intelligence research facility that was once known as DeepMind Technologies.
