At the helm, Alshahrani spearheaded an ambitious digital transformation, forging strategic partnerships and leading Planning and preparation for the approval of budgets from relevant authorities allocating a substantial budget of 500 million Saudi Riyals over five years. This initiative encompassed the overhaul of digital infrastructure, Enterprise Mega Projects such as (SAP-ERP, Oracle-Health Cerner Millennium, IQVIA Revenue Cycle Management, ..etc), deployment of cutting-edge technologies, and attaining HIMSS, SeMA, Canadian, Australian and CBAHI Accreditations And ISO Certifications in Quality, IT Management, Business Continuity, and Information Security.

A standout achievement was the establishment of the Digital Transformation Executive Department, overseeing five critical entities: Digital Services, Cybersecurity, Data Management and AI, Digital Transformation, and Governance and Service Excellence. Under his stewardship, the organization achieved unparalleled success, emerging as the first government sector to integrated with “Nphies” platform, a national project which is unified solution for both track: Health Insurance e-claims and Unified Medical Records. As well as the first government healthcare sector applying SAP-ERP to transfer from Cash-Base to Accrual-Base.

Under his leadership in digital transformation, KSUMC has become a local and regional reference for many health organizations in applying advanced digital systems and digital transformation approach.
