Germany at Aid: The Country Pledges 2 Billion Euros to Startups

Taking into consideration the pandemic COVID-19 outbreak, the Germany Government has decided to allocate 2 Billion Euros to support startups. This decision was taken by Olaf Scholz, the Finance Minister of the country.
He addressed the press saying, “All the other normal aid programs are already available. However, we wanted to do something for companies who are having trouble obtaining credit lines.”
Answering the growing demands among startups, the Government has decided to make a tailor-made finance program to help startups overcome the difficulties being faced during the pandemic. However, the government is yet to announce how it plans on putting this program into motion.
