American Airlines Facing Pilot Shortage, to Cut Service to 3 Cities

According to reports, three American towns are no longer served by American Airlines due to a pilot shortage. The airlines will cut down flying to Toledo, Ohio, Ithaca, New York, and Islip.

People who have already booked flights to these locations will be offered other arrangements or compensations.

The statement from the airlines read, “We’re extremely grateful for the care and service our team members provided to our customers in Islip, Ithaca, and Toledo, and are working closely with them during this time.”

American Airlines has faced an acute pilot shortage in the last few months and is bringing up measures like these to maintain the workforce balance.
