6 Reasons Students Should Blog

The Internet and social media have taken over our lives. We spend hours staring at our smartphones or laptops every day. Also, students spend their money to buy homework help. If you’re already doing it, why don’t you make some extra money? You can blog while still in school if you are interested in a rewarding career. Although there is always the possibility that you might not like blogging, I don’t think so. There are many blogs out there, so it is easy to focus your attention on what you like and only post about those things. This will make it feel less like a job and more like a hobby.

Many students choose part-time jobs like waiters, bartenders and shop assistants. The time is now when you can actually make money doing what you love. You don’t have to be a skeptic about starting a blog. Read all of the reasons below to help you make a decision.

Your portfolio is your blog

Like contact information, I keep my blog address at the top and the bottom of my resume when I send it to potential employers. This is my online portfolio, which I can show potential employers before I even reach the interview stage. This is not only a way to make me stand out among the crowd but also speaks 1000 words, more than my two-page resume. Although university courses are different, you can be sure to find the right blogging format for you. You can use a blog to do the following:

  • Upload images of your most recent photography, graphics designs, animations and architecture plans.
  • Upload videos to show the brilliance and creativity of your feature film project. My friends have shared their client work, including advertisements and music videos for bands.
  • Written content that focuses on industry issues and theoretic musings or illustrates practical experiences.

Your blog can be more than a collection of content. It can also provide links to your social media profiles. Take control of your online presence to stand out from the rest.

You’ll be able to tell more about yourself next time you apply for a job. Employers are now more open to people who can be self-employed and manage their own businesses. A blog is considered a business, particularly if you make a good income. You will be able to showcase many of your skills, including writing, communication, management, leadership, and social media marketing.

Have Fun, Have Fun, and Have Fun

It’s possible to make your work enjoyable and your work more fulfilling. Students are innovative and always have something to share. You can blog about anything that makes you happy, no matter what it is. You won’t feel like you are working, and you will be happy doing what you love.

Bigger Confidence

You’ll soon realize how independent you can be blogging once you start to get involved. You will find a place to share your thoughts, inspire others, and learn new things. This will help you to be more confident and be better prepared for other challenges.

Meet New People

Blogging is a great way to meet new people every day. You can create a network of friends by posting. You’ll find that some of your followers will enjoy the same things as you, and you can learn from them.

Learn

You’ll be able to learn many new things if you create your blog by yourself. WordPress is a tool that allows you to create a website, manage pictures, write content, and enter data. You’ll also meet many new people who will be willing to share their experiences and opinions. You will remember things much quicker if you put them into practice.

Make Money

This is a reason that you should definitely mention. You don’t have to work part-time to pay student loans. Instead, you can become a proud blogger who makes more than enough. Although it won’t be easy at first, it will get easier over time. You will be happy that you stepped out of your comfort zone and tried something new once you begin making money.

Money is a good reason to include it on the list. It is possible to make a living blogging, but it is not easy.

In the past, I accepted sponsored posts from companies but only if they were willing to pay me. The posts I wrote were not detailed enough and had shamelessly back-linked directly to their content, so I ended up stopping. They were neither useful, informative, nor entertaining. Bloggers must protect their intellectual property.

There are many ways to make money through blogging. You may be able to buy some beer as a student if you choose a path. Do not expect your income to pay for your rent. Earning money is not a goal. It’s a side effect of doing something you love.

I hope that I inspired students to start blogging. I might have hurt my own job prospects, but it was still a great thing!
