The New Smart Nail Chip 2024
Infineon Technologies is collaborating with Smart Chip Switzerland and DIGISEQ Limited to launch the first multifunctional smart chip later this year that can be placed on a customer’s fingernail.
This smart chip will be connected through an application (DIGISEQ Manage-Mii), and the customer can easily and quickly transmit the data from the app to the chip.
How can we wear it?
This smart chip will be made of skin-friendly material and it will fit perfectly fine on nails. All you have to do are these three steps:
- Polishing and preparing your thumbnail.
- Placing the chip on the nail and making sure it fits properly.
- Covering it with shellac so it won’t fall apart.
- Once it’s on the nail, the customer can tokenize it through the app.
How does it work?
Each smart chip has its own operating system becoming a data carrier. You can use the chip by downloading the app and entering all your personal data including your ID and credit card data, and you’ll be able to do the following:
- Do your contactless payment. Similar to wearable payment devices including rings, bracelets, and watches, you can now pay through your fingernail!
- Store your business cards, loyalty cards, and even your personal data including your ID, passport, health insurance cards, and more.
- Use it as a house key if your house supports smart solutions.
What about Smart Rings?
Smart rings are modern gadgets that are small and worn on the fingers; they are convenient for use by lovers of innovations. These rings may pair with your smartphone using Bluetooth and you can receive messages, monitor your health, and regulate the lighting of smart homes.
Generally, smart rings require you to synchronize with an application on the smartphone in which you can set preferences and view relevant information. Other features that are available depending on the model include NFC payment, and more. However, there is a possibility of gesture control on some rings.
Smart rings have their advantages; here are the most important ones:
- They give a subtle method of connecting without having to look at your phone frequently, and this can be perfect when in a meeting or when among friends.
