According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple had planned to introduce scissor-switch keyboards to more laptops soon. Apple had plans to launch the new MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models in the second quarter of 2020. These laptops would follow the pattern set by the previous version laptops of the 16 inches MacBook Pro, who had replaced the unreliable butterfly switches with a better version of the “Magic Keyboard.”
The Analyst had stated that the 13 inch MacBook Pro would be replaced by the 14 inch model of the same laptop. There have been no comments about whether these changes would be bought about in the second quarter. There are high chances of the scissor-switch keyboard being installed in the 13-inch model. Apple had been shipping butterfly keyboards on all the new laptops that had been released since 2016.
Kuo had also provided with a little more insight into his thoughts on Apple’s long-rumored transition to ARM processors. Kuo had stated that the MacBook models with their custom-built processors designed by Apple are likely to be shipped in the fourth quarter of 2020.
