Carelon Global Solutions Plans to Create 100 New Positions in Limerick

The news of 100 new job opportunities at Carelon Global Solutions Ireland has been warmly received in Limerick. The US-based healthcare services company’s R&D Innovation Centre is situated at the National Technology Park in Limerick. On February 19th, the company confirmed that Carelon’s Irish workforce would expand to 320, with a significant portion of the new positions being located at the Limerick R&D hub and others working remotely. With support from the IDA, the company initially launched as Legato Health Technologies in Ireland in November 2021, pledging to create 60 jobs.

Mayor of the City and County of Limerick, Cllr Gerald Mitchell, expressed his delight at the job opportunities: “Carelon’s decision to expand their workforce by 100 within just three years of establishing their R&D hub in Limerick is a testament to the supportive business environment and the abundance of talent in our city. I extend my best wishes to Carelon for their expansion, and I commend their dedication to fostering diversity, aiming to achieve gender equality within their Irish workforce by the end of this year.”

Dr. Pat Daly, Chief Executive of Limerick City and County Council, also commented: “The expansion of Carelon Global Solutions underscores the thriving business landscape in Limerick. This announcement follows a highly successful 2023, during which nearly 3,000 new jobs were created, and a record €1.3 billion of investments were announced for Limerick. Limerick City and County Council remains committed to cultivating an environment that makes Limerick an appealing place to live, work, and visit, where both companies and communities can flourish.”
