Banking through Messenger? Alberta Bank Proposes a new Service

ATB Financial is opening new technology that will mark finance as simple as sending a text to a friend.
The Alberta bank will be the first full-service financial association in North America to abridge payments using “chatbot technology” on Facebook Messenger.
“There are banks who have their separate bot applications, but we are the first in North America to obligate a bot application that essentially permits customers to move money,” ATB manager of banking innovation, James Gamage stated.
ATB worked with Finn.ai to create the artificial intelligence service, which will be available to a check group of customers.  People can practice their mobile phones to straight a quick message to custom their account balance or pay a bill. Customers will also be able to appeal questions about fees or where to the device the closest ATM.
“We’re directing to transform banking,” Gamage told. “We aim to transport service to clients where, how and when they want. Clearly, nowadays a lot of customers are outlay a lot of time on places and social media such as Facebook Messenger.”
The developers took steps to safeguard privacy and security, like only allowing payment transactions with recipients already designated through online banking.
