One of the ingenious minds behind the inception of the company is an unconventional leader, Antonella Rubicco. Antonella has been instrumental in taking A3Cube to international prominence with her experience and knowledge about the markets, strategies, and trends driving the industry. She is serving as the CEO of the company. Since its inception, she has been in charge of every aspect of the business, while supporting Engineer Emilio Billi (co-founder and CTO) in giving shape to his groundbreaking ideas.

Give us a brief overview about your leadership position at A3Cube.
My role is about taking care of the multiple overall operations, deciding on the strategic direction for the company, keeping the team motivated and setting the goals. My responsibility is to ensure the success of the company!
Describe your company and its cutting-edge computer products which address all the needs of your customers.
A3Cube helps businesses and industries make sense of the vast volumes of information for further growth and development, offering unique solutions specifically tailored for Machine Learning, Data Analytics, High Performance Computing and Artificial Intelligence.
Most complex Big-Data, Machine Learning, AI and new High Performance Computing problems require and use the massive computing power. Our systems are the answer to the most demanding challenge: our unique architecture permits to implement accelerated analytics at record-breaking speed using standard models, making possible to execute hundred of billions of sophisticated query, over the data, per second in a single unified system.
How do your services differ from the other companies’ offerings?
Our approach has always been disruptive!
Since the beginning, we invested a lot of time in R&D. We invented and brought to the market a new architecture… and now we are working on the next generation of Artificial Intelligence: we want to make the difference; we want to drive the innovation in the new digital era.
What is your thought on the necessity of a positive work culture? In what ways do you implement it at your organization?
I think that a successful Company is made up by a good Team. To enhance the positive work culture, I try to build a sense of identity, sharing values and common aims.
We foster an environment that motivates our employees, empowering them to work as one integrated team where the efficiency of business organization is combined with human dignity, and values such as creativity, harmony and sense of beauty.
What people, what books, what life factors have influenced and impacted you?
When I was young I loved reading collections of biographies. I was really attracted by the story and the life of famous leaders and notable people.
Reading about how remarkable people made their way got me inspired.
It was a good lesson for my personal life and for my career as a businesswoman.
How do you balance work and life responsibilities?
Find a work-life balance is a real struggle! And it’s even more difficult when you are running your own company and you realize that you have dedicated your entire life to this mission.
What is your opinion on the necessity for businesses to align your offerings with newer technological developments, especially when it comes to developing advance computer hardware?
Create value through innovation is essential. That’s why businesses should adopt the model of “Open Innovation”, going beyond company boundaries and promoting the cooperation with new players. Businesses should change their minds and be willing to invest in the newer technologies, especially in groundbreaking computer hardware. Hardware has a significant impact on the entire tech ecosystem and enables the real revolution.
Tell us about A3Cube Innovation Park. How are you ensuring environmental sustainability?
I am very committed to environmental sustainability. The company is more than just its products: the A3Cube Innovation Park is not only the European Headquarter of the Company, it also represents the company’s values and vision. We believe that there can be no innovation and progress without environmental protection and that people need the beauty of nature to create disruptive solutions and ideas.
Being in the middle of nature, surrounded by the sound of water and the greenery of the park, is the perfect place to stimulate talent and creativity. A3Cube Innovation Park is the natural evolution and the last part of the A3C Founders’ project. When we started this adventure in 1996, we had two primary goals: to turn ordinary servers into extraordinary supercomputers and to create a hub for talented people.
What would be your advice for aspiring and emerging women entrepreneurs in the Industry?
Be curious and proactive, go straight your way, be confident in yourself. Find your inspiration everyday. Never stop learning and connect with people… knowledge is the power and networking is the key!
What is your vision for the company for the next five years?
My vision is to grow as a Company as well as a Brand. We want to be always a step ahead and design solutions to help people to live better and to change the world. The ultimate competitive advantage is being able to anticipate innovation and trends.
