Please brief our audience about your company, its values, and how the company has been positioned as a leading player in the nutrition space.
Algabrew is nothing short of a dream come true. Seeing our imagination turn into a reality is fascinating and exhilarating.
We deal with manufacturing and selling premium spirulina products. You see, spirulina is a powerhouse of exclusive supplements, and it bombards you with high nutritional value and completes your diet.
We care about organic growth, and we want to guarantee sustainable development through our products. And probably that is the reason why it stands apart and is loved by all.
The journey has been a great learning experience for us. Our research led to a lot of other market potential and explorations. This pandemic has forced us to adapt to E-commerce at a large scale which has helped us retain our customers. We saw 5x growth in revenue post-pandemic, but the second wave has slowed down us again. We are expecting further growth post-pandemic.
Within a year of incorporation, we had to face a global pandemic which left us with no option rather than closing down for few months. As we are bootstrapped, our founder was optimistic about the situation, and we embraced the change that led us to growth potential post first lockdown. We were mainly focusing on sustaining the pandemic by restructuring our strategies.
What products does your company offer, and how are these making an impact on the industry and your customers?
We are a start-up with a long-term commitment. We have few products, but they are doing incredibly well. Our list of products includes Spirulina Capsule, Burfi King Spirulina Chikki, Spirulina Powder. This powder is used in many aspects like cosmetics, aqua-feed, poultry, and dairy feed
They indeed make an impact among the consumers as they are completely vegan and eco-friendly. Our spirulina powder especially is made with well-attended subjects who knows what they are doing. Since it can be useful not in one, but in many departments, it is like the icing on the cake.
Being an experienced leader, share with us your opinion on how the adoption of modern technologies such as AI, big data and machine learning have transformed the health and wellness industry and what more could be expected shortly?
Adaption of modern technology has increased our scalability in digital platforms. Our product manufacturing is highly manpower based and intervention of tech is less for now. We are working on improving tech adoption in production in near future.
Taking into consideration, the current pandemic, and its impact on global economies, how are you driving your company to sustain operations and ensuring the safety of your employees at the same time?
To uphold any company or business range – the one tactic we need to maintain, and master is CONSISTENCY. Be consistent in anything and everything. And know your audience and your market trends.
Yes, this global pandemic has been a huge pause for all of us, but we somehow try to sustain and that is done by proper marketing and having a well planned, strategic approach. Social media has helped us, and we ensure to have an engaging website.
And when the safety of the products and delivery is concerned, we ensure to follow the protocols and decide anything which would suffice our employees and our consumers at the same time, without hindering our business.
What would be your advice to budding entrepreneurs who aspire to venture into the health and nutrition space?
Health and Nutrition Sector is classic, as you never have a fallout in this industry. Because people always, needs a trustworthy industry who would help them to maintain their biological system.
Our main advice would be to always be educated and aware of what you’re doing/what you’re investing on, and its knowledge is extremely important. Study the history of it, its pros and cons.
We would say, the future and past are studied, and then the test of the present is taken. Stay true to your instincts and prediction. And be consistent. There might be bad days, but you need to be extremely patient and just trust in yourself, as faith comes a long way!
How do you envision scaling your company’s operations and offerings in 2021?
We are planning to launch more, but we also believe in quality over quantity. When we trust that a particular product is needed in the market, yes, we will launch it. It is never too late!

  1. Mithun Raja, the Founder and Managing Partner got this idea when he was in his final year of studies. Initially, he was keen on starting a business but was not so sure about the stream in which industry he had to pursue nor the market demand. Later he came acrossSpirulina, blue-green algae which had a great scalable potential in various markets locally and internationally. Further research into this sector, led him to the market potential of the algae which made him incorporate ALGABREW in 2019 which focused on providing nutrition using algae products.
