With the wave of big data and cloud, there is a lot of demand regarding the IT performance. Storage performance is a real bottleneck that hasn’t been properly addressed in the recent years. While big data and cloud age gain tremendous importance, there have been many customers who falsely thought their performance bottleneck is just on the computing side, until AccelStor came into the service.
Established in 2014, AccelStor is a major player in accelerating the paradigm shift from conventional disk arrays to modern all-flash storage and is devoted to unleashing the true performance of flash-based storage solutions with a software-defined approach.
AccelStor is a software-defined all-flash array provider. AccelStor has developed an exclusive FlexiRemap software technology that enables its flash arrays to achieve unparalleled scalability, performance, and efficiency in the same grade as such products, along with bringing the benefits of accelerated data access and low total cost of ownership (TCO) to the world.
Since All-Flash Array has been categorized by well known companies as a very special category to improve the performance inside the data centers in enterprises, it has become a flagship product among all of the storage offerings.
Adopting and Embracing the Technology at its Best
AccelStor, which was earlier focused on making all-flash array products, later saw a great opportunity to design and think about flash storage from a whole new perspective while enhancing it through software technology.
Thus, AccelStor launched NeoSapphire all-flash array series in 2015, and within a couple of months from its launch, the series had offered a range of models supporting Ethernet and InfiniBand environment. Ethernet is mostly used in SMB and enterprises and the InfiniBand is commonly adopted by HPC (High Performance Computing), data centers, and semiconductor industry.
By June 2016, another range of models supporting Fibre Channel and focusing on higher-end market, such as the financial industry, was launched by AccelStor. In just 2 years, their products have already met most of the needs and demands from different types of users.
“We believe All-Flash Array with software-defined approach is the true solution for the upcoming era and AccelStor is the answer for that.”
Distinguishing factors that make AccelStor stand apart
AccelStor continues to adopt a smart way to build the all-flash array while achieving better performance with low TCA and TCO using standard SSDs with its own FlexiRemap flash management technology.
Although some of their competitors offer proprietary flash modules with customized firmware that can achieve high performance, it turns out to be very expensive. Few others replace HDDs with SSDs in conventional disk arrays. The RAID algorithms only make the appliance’s performance poor and SSD’s lifespan short.
But, unlike their competitors, AccelStor provides hardware appliance products along with an exclusive flash memory and storage acceleration software technology, as well as an in-depth understanding of this field.
“There are smart people around the globe and we are one of them, and we do what we do best in terms of building an All-Flash Array.”
FlexiRemap technology is flash-oriented software developed by AccelStor which features an architectural re-design tailored for the fundamentals and internal workings of flash memory. Enterprise IT is always concerned about data protection, storage performance, and system durability. AccelStor FlexiRemap technology fulfils these needs.
AccelStor’s NeoSapphire All-Flash Array Series is powered by FlexiRemap Technology. The NeoSapphire series comes in a range of models, form factors, and configurations to meet the needs of outstanding performance and a reliable system for end users. With sustained 300K-700K IOPS for 100% 4KB random writes, the NeoSapphire series significantly reduces time of data access and processing, power consumption, space utilization, and beyond.
“Through FlexiRemap, we harness the power of modern processor architechture.”
Pushing Performance to a New Level
Their latest flagship all-flash array, NeoSapphire model P710 pushes functioning to a new level: over 700K IOPS for 4KB random writes sustainably. It adds plentiful software features including snapshot, snapshot backup and restoration, free clone, thin provisioning, thick provisioning, inline de-duplication (zero page) and vSphere Web Client plug-in, with zero performance trade-offs. All of these only makes P710, perfect for VDI environments and the first choice for users that need high performance combined with versatile software functions and data protection features. With a wealth of software advantages, the NeoSapphire P710 is apt for any demanding applications.
Growing with the Customers
Currently, virtualization, high-performance computing, database, and media-processing applications are the main areas AccelStor focuses on. Its NeoSapphire series all-flash arrays, powered by FlexiRemap software technology, deliver sustained high IOPS to business-critical applications. NeoSapphire promises to resolve the performance bottlenecks for I/O-intensive applications with standard rack-mount form factors, streamlined storage management, multi-protocol support, as well as front-accessible and hot-swappable drives. There are many benefits that AccelStor promises to provide to their customers, which are as follows:
Pain-Free System Upgrade – Whether you’re building a new storage system or just upgrading, the multiple storage protocols and VMware Ready certification make it easy in any environment.
Innovative Software Technology: FlexiRemap – An award-winning FlexiRemap software technology is the most cutting-edge solution to empower the all-flash array system and keep applications running smoothly.
High-Availability Design for Non-Stop Applications – The Active-Active design with real-time data synchronization improves RTO and delivers a true HA solution for mission-critical applications.
Lower Overall Cost – Get better performance with less cost than traditional disk-based storage. TCA and TCO are also reduced.
Quintessential Values Redefining the Market
AccelStor follows three core competencies that allow them to stay above their competitors and to easily integrate with the existing IT Infrastructure.
Innovations beyond Technical Fluency: AccelStor sees a great opportunity to design and think about flash storage from a whole new perspective and to enhance it through software technology, they intend to lead.
Determination to Succeed: AccelStor provides hardware appliance products, but unlike their competitors, AccelStor provides the best product experience, regardless of whether it is for hardware or software.
Agility: AccelStor’s storage systems come in a full range of form factors and specifications and, most of all, the customer has AccelStor’s full support for the software and hardware. NeoSapphire is the perfect solution for a variety of enterprise applications, especially those that are likely to cause performance bottlenecks.
