How to grow Marigold at home from leftover flower

1. Collect Seed

Harvest seeds from spent marigold flowers. Once the blooms have dried and turned brown, they will contain seeds.

2. Prepare the Soil

Choose well-draining soil, as marigolds don’t like soggy conditions. A mix of garden soil and compost works well.

3. Planting the Seeds

Spread the seeds over the surface of the soil or plant them about ¼ inch deep. If using a pot, plant several seeds but leave space between each one.

4. Watering

Water the soil lightly using a watering can or spray bottle. The soil should stay moist but not waterlogged.

5. Provide Sunlight

Marigolds need plenty of sunlight to thrive. Place the pot in a sunny spot or, if growing outdoors, make sure the bed receives at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight.
