Twitter’s Blue Verified checkmark system won’t go live until Elon Musk finds a more effective way to deal with fake accounts.
Musk tweeted on Monday evening, “Holding off the relaunch of Blue Verified until there is high confidence of stopping impersonation.
Without going into further detail, he continued, “There will probably be different color checkmarks for organizations and individuals.” The development follows his equally turbulent acquisition of the business late last month, which resulted in a disorganized overhaul of the Company verification procedure.
