Backed by Investing giant Kevin O’Leary, WonderFi Technologies Inc has agreed to takeover First Ledger Corp (Cryptocurrency platform’s parent company Bitbuy) for around C$206 million ($162.13 million). Thus, it will make WonderFi full owner of Canadian Cryptocurrency marketplace.
WonderFi is a cryptocurrency aggregating platform and in a statement the company announced that it will pay 70 million in new shares and $39 million (C$50 million; C$20 million upfront and C$30 million differed) in cash.
Bitbuy has more than 375,000 users, and more than $4.4 billion has been the value of its crypto transactions in the market since 2016. Also, last year it has generated a revenue of $31 million.
